Our Young Gardeners Project creates opportunities for young people to engage in gardening activities, by co-creating natural spaces which connect young people with their local communities.

Welcome to the Young Gardeners Project! Our mission is to inspire young people to explore the natural world, themselves and the importance of community through gardening. Young people are both encouraged and empowered to take an active role in the development and maintenance of a Children's Garden within their local community; fostering a sense of belonging, agency and stewardship.

Children are naturally curious and have an innate desire to explore and create. They seek out opportunities to feel they 'belong' and that they have the skills and knowledge to make things happen. Through the lense of planning, creating and cultivating.
